Veterinarian
Dr. Taylor Roth offers veterinary care for pets in Blue Springs and surrounding Kansas City areas.
Dr. Roth grew up in the small country town of Prairie City, Iowa, where being an only child in the countryside meant her pets filled the role of siblings. From a young age, her days were spent surrounded by animals—playing, caring for them, and treating them like family.
While studying for her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science at Iowa State University, Dr. Roth realized veterinary care was her true calling when her childhood cat became seriously ill. She managed her cat’s care at home for two years during her undergraduate studies, administering fluids and treatments until a full recovery. That hands-on experience gave her the confidence and drive to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian.
After earning her Doctorate Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Roth moved out of Iowa for the first time to join the team at Blue Springs Animal Hospital & Pet Resort. She has a special interest in feline medicine and loves caring for cats of all ages—from playful kittens to senior cats needing extra support. She also enjoys the problem-solving side of internal medicine.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Roth enjoys exploring anything dog-friendly with her husband—from local wineries and restaurants to scenic walking trails and farmers markets—always with her three Golden Retrievers. Their home is also shared with three beloved cats, making life wonderfully full (and furry!).
