Dr. Carly Straight offers veterinary care for pets in Blue Springs and surrounding Kansas City areas.
Dr. Straight was born in Wichita, KS, but spent most of her childhood in Fort Worth, TX. She swam competitively for the University of Kansas and graduated with a B.S. in Biology in 2020, then went on to work as a veterinary technician for a year in Lawrence, KS. Here, she discovered her love for geriatric cats and working with cancer patients.
Dr. Straight was accepted into veterinary school and obtained her Doctorate Degree from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2025. While there, she enjoyed working as an assistant for the Large Animal and Small Animal ICU services on occasional overnight shifts.
Dr. Straight’s veterinary interests include geriatric feline care, oncology, and dentistry. She loves working with large breed dogs as well. Her favorite part of veterinary care is making her patients and their owners more comfortable with veterinary medicine, and giving them as much happy and healthy time together as possible.
When she is not working, Dr. Straight enjoys spending time on the water fishing or swimming. She is a huge Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan and can often be found with her family at a game. She has three cats, Mango, Zucchini and Banana.
