Veterinarian
Dr. Laura Peck grew up in a small town outside of Springfield, MO. She previously attended the University of Arkansas, where she received her undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering in 2018. Originally interested in medical research, Dr. Peck found a calling in animal healthcare during college through volunteering at the local animal shelter and spending time with the shelter veterinary clinic.
Dr. Peck obtained her Doctorate Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine with the class of 2023. During her time at the University of Missouri, Dr. Peck was a part of the raptor rehabilitation program and spent most of her externships with exotic animal specialists. She soon discovered a passion to treat not only dogs and cats, but to extend her skills to all the companion species for the perfect balance of challenging and rewarding.
After graduating in 2023, Dr. Peck worked as a veterinarian in a hospital that treated dogs, cats, and high volumes of small exotic pets. Dr. Peck now joins the team at Blue Springs Animal Hospital & Pet Resort to be closer to home and welcome a new change. Dr. Peck’s special interests include feline medicine and small exotic medicine including birds, reptiles, and small mammals.
While outside of the clinic, Dr. Peck enjoys visiting local businesses along with her husband. You can can often find them attending KC Current games, playing video games, or spending time with their families that live nearby.
