Veterinarian
Dr. Ashlyn Dotson offers veterinary care to pets in Blue Springs and surrounding Kansas City areas.
Dr. Dotson is a Missouri native and knew from a young age that she had a passion for helping animals. She obtained her undergraduate Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Bio-Health Sciences from Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, Alabama. She continued, earning her Doctorate Degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in Columbia, Missouri.
An experience that shaped Dr. Dotson was during her undergraduate studies when she had the opportunity to work under a certified animal behaviorist/trainer who trains working, service, and companion animals. Seeing the human-animal bond form over the course of training solidified Dr. Dotson's desire to one day have a career where she can help owners provide the best care possible for their animals.
After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Dotson joined the team at Blue Springs Animal Hospital. Her special interests include canine behavior and preventative wellness medicine. In her free time, Dr. Dotson enjoys spending time with her son and two puggles. She also loves hiking, listening to audiobooks, and trying new food places.
