Doggie Day Care Dog Day Care

Do you have a new puppy who needs socializaton?

Are you worried or feeling guilty about leaving your pet home alone?

Do you come home to unpleasant surprises?

Would you like your dog to have fun, run off some energy, and develop positive social skills?

Having trouble getting that new puppy housetrained because you are not home during the day?

Doggie Day Care is the ANSWER!

Little dog running

At Blue Springs Pet Resort your dog can spend the day playing and meeting new friends. It's just like daycare for kids - only no diapers!

Doggie day care includes a morning and afternoon session of Pampered Pet Playtime in our 1,000 sq foot indoor activity center. The pets can vent excess energy, develop positive social skills with our staff and other dogs, and hang out with the gang!

Mid-day each pet retires to their own private area to relax and take a nap. By the end of the day, they will go home tired but happy and they will look forward to their next visit!! Our regular daycare pets LOVE to come to the vet!

Activities during playtime include playing ball, fetching Frisbees, and learning to slipper slide! Some summer days may also include splashing in the toddler pool.

Of course, guests often invent their own games too   - chase my tail, chase your tail, and chase the gang around and around and around the room are popular.

Pampered Pet Playtime sessions are led and constantly supervised by one of our fun loving Counselors. For the safety of all the guests, aggressive pets will not be allowed in Pampered Pet Playschool.

If a dog seems fearful or is not having fun, a counselor will encourage them and give them some time to overcome their shyness and participate. Most dogs learn to love playtime, and it is an excellent way to socialize puppies who are fearful and shy. If a dog continues to dislike the activities after ample time to acclimate, we will recommend removal from playtime.

Dogs older than 7 months must be spayed or neutered to participate.

Puppy Socialization
Daycare is an excellent way to provide socialization for your puppy.

  • During the day the puppy will be handled and loved by multiple people.
  • He or she will meet many other dogs and learn valuable social skills which help develop a mannerly attitude toward other pets as an adult.
  • The experience of visiting the facility and participating in playtime activities will boost your puppy's confidence and help him or her adjust to new situations more easily in the future.

Preventative Health Requirements
Blue Springs Pet Resort has strict health requirements for all boarding pets for a very good reason - we are committed to keeping your pet safe and healthy! If we failed to require protection against contagious diseases and parasites, we could not promise your pet the safest environment possible. Our standards are high, but we hope you will see that as a strong advantage to boarding your pet with us.

All dogs in Canine Camp must be current on the routine preventative health care for contagious diseases listed in the table to the right. To ensure quality control and adequate protection, vaccinations and parasite testing must be provided by a licensed veterinarian.

  •  If your pet is a patient at our hospital, we will already be familiar with your pet's wellness care and medical history.

  • If your pet is under the care of another veterinary hospital, please bring a copy of the records/receipt. Pets will not be admitted without proof of vaccinations and parasite testing.

  • If your pet is not current, we welcome your appointment in advance or at the time of boarding to update your pet.
